Going for a function? Confused with what to wear? Well, this is something which happens with a lot of people. they are not able to decide what to wear on which occasion and thus they end up looking stupid most of the times.
But here is a simple solution which would be easy for every individual to follow. For a party at college, girls should wear a sari or a one piece dress. Avoid wearing a suit as it would look too casual. For guys, a shirt paired up with a trouser would be the best of all and if you don't have a trouser then denims would also work. You also have one more option. To look different amongst all just wear a suit or a blazer over your shirt. But please don't wear your t-shirts with denims.
For a party at work, girls should either wear a sari or a one piece dress. Boys here should go for complete formals, that is, a three piece suit or a shirt and a trouser paired up with a tie.
For family functions such as weddings, girls should wear completely traditional/Indian, sari, suit or a lehenga. Avoid wearing any type of casual clothes. For guys, kurta-pyjama, dhoti-kurta, sherwani would be a complete different and traditional attire.If you want you can also wear a suit or just a shirt paired with trousers but avoid this as you can wear this in any of the other functions also. Remember some clothes are exclusive for marriage purpose only.
Well, all these above suggestions might help people with selecting the right clothes for the right occasion.
Well Ankita, I certainly i agree with the wedding bit. However when it comes to a college party I think Denims paired with the right t-shirt shirt can or kurta with the right kinda accessories would also help. For instance a golf cap or a hat or a bandana, junk jewellery, or just use something ethnic with something that's totally not traditional. Also guys with a great body can flaunt it with just jeans n a jacket.
